Double-Edged

I recently discovered that coconut oil actually has bad fats or saturated fats. This means that any food substance made of coconut was actually not that healthy. This was a total bummer for me because of several things:

1. I am a sucker for coco jam.
2. My favorite salad is buco salad with heaps of coconut shavings
3. I am a sucker for palitaw – a kind of rice cake with heaps of coconut shavings and sugar.
4. The favorite dish at home is served with coconut milk.
5. I love drinking Buko Shake.

Eschrichia Coli or E.Coli is actually a bactera that thrives somewhere in our digestive tract. It lives somewhere in the intestines and aids in digestion. Specifically it helps produce vitamin K for mineral absorption and protect our intestines from colonization of harmful bacteria.

Something like mercenary soldiers your body hired to protect you from intruders.

E. Coli is also responsible in many food contaminations across the globe. Certain strains of the bacteria prove to be harmful to the human body especially those that are not from our body. Most of the E. coli that contaminates come from human and animal waste.

Isnt it funny how certain things that benefit us are also harmful to us. Some things that we think are nice or good could cause us a great deal of harm.

Everything seems to be a double edged sword. Going one way would harm you in the same manner as going the opposite direction. Whether it is food, drink, people, ideas, experiences or events. There is always a chance of getting harm as well as good.

It’s usually the risk we have to take.

God was prepared to take the necessary risks when he created the world. He knew there was a risk that Adam and Eve would be tempted and disobey his commands. That was a big risk, yet He still placed that tree in the middle of the garden He created for us.

His heart was broken when both ate of the fruit of the tree, but He could not take away the love that He had for our parents. He could not bear the sight of his beloved children sinning and troubled.

He had no choice but take out His back up plan. Everything was calculated and foreseen. It was a more painful path but it had to happen to save us, His beloved children. He, himself, came down and died for His creation. He died on the cross out of love for us. He didnt mind if He went as low, He came here as Jesus Christ, His son.

Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges ; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.

Philippians 2:6-8 NLT

Now that love has a risk as well: would that death mean something to you or not? God took the risk, now it’s your turn.
